Year of the White Heron

Last winter, on my way to the next bigger town by bus, a white heron caught my eye. I remember turning my head to absord the impression as long as possible and soon afterwards, I began to work on the bird.
It's the only figure made up till now, making this year a year of pause and reflection on how to continue my artistic practice.

I've experimented with some animation-AI with haikus written by Richard Wright, had a go on digital painting for large textile prints, made some little illustrations for the grandchildren, did some gardening – nothing big.

With human induced climate change, socio-political turmoil and wars around us that are not being properly addressed in my opinion, I'm asking myself where my own little contribution may lay in producing a better world. Maybe it's just keeping going.
